Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 16, 2026
ApeXhit LLC ("ApeXhit," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the ApeXhit FHB app ("App") collects, how it is used, where it is stored, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Our Core Privacy Principle: Local-First Storage
ApeXhit FHB is designed as a local-firstapplication. By default, your financial entries (income, expenses, investments, assets, liabilities, budgets, receipts, invoices, and settings) are stored in your device's browser storage (localStorage/IndexedDB), not on ApeXhit's servers. We do not have a database of your financial transactions sitting on our infrastructure unless you explicitly export, sync, or transmit data through a feature described below.
2. Information We Collect
a) Data you enter into the App (stored on-device)
- Income and expense entries, categories, and dates
- Investment holdings, assets, and liabilities you record
- Budget limits and debt payoff plans
- Receipt images (captured via camera or uploaded), automatically resized/compressed before storage, and extracted labels/amounts
- Invoices you generate, including client names and line items you enter
- Life insurance policy details you record (carrier, coverage amounts, premiums, cash value, beneficiaries)
- Retirement account details you record (account type, balances, contributions)
- College savings goals you record (beneficiary name, age, cost/savings projections)
- Your answers to the Tax Strategy Advisor quiz and the resulting on-screen recommendations
- App settings (currency, location for tax estimates, theme preference)
This data lives in your browser's local storage on each device. It is not automatically transmitted to ApeXhit servers. Clearing your browser data, uninstalling the App, or switching devices/browsers will remove it unless you have exported a backup. Browser local storage has a limited capacity (typically a few megabytes per site); the App includes a built-in Storage Usage tool (Settings) and automatically compresses receipt photos to help you stay within that limit, and is designed to warn you rather than silently fail if the limit is reached.
b) Data processed when you use Family Sync
Family Sync lets you merge exported JSON files from up to your tier's device limit. When you use this feature, the exported files (containing your financial entries, receipts, and invoices) are processed to merge them into a combined dataset. This merge currently happens within your browser session; we do not retain a permanent server-side copy of synced files beyond what is necessary to complete the merge operation you initiate.
c) License and account data
If you purchase a paid tier, our payment processor Lemon Squeezy collects your email address, payment details, and billing address to process the transaction and issue a license key. ApeXhit receives your email, order details, and license key status via Lemon Squeezy webhooks — we do not receive or store your full payment card details; those are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy and its payment processors.
d) Automatically collected technical data
Our hosting provider (Vercel) and any analytics tooling we may enable can log standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, and page load performance for security, debugging, and reliability purposes. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles.
3. How We Use Information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the App and its features;
- To process subscription payments and issue/validate license keys;
- To send license-related, billing, and payment-reminder emails you request (e.g., payday or expense due-date reminders, if you opt into that feature);
- To respond to support requests sent to apexhit01@gmail.com or through in-app AI support chat;
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse of license activation limits, or security incidents;
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell Your Data. We do not use your financial entries to serve targeted advertising.
4. Camera & Device Permissions
The Receipt Scanner feature requests access to your device camera solely to let you photograph receipts. Captured images are processed and stored according to Section 2(a) above (locally, or as part of a sync/export you initiate). We do not access your camera roll or camera outside of your explicit action to capture or upload a receipt image.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We share limited data with the following categories of processors, only as necessary to operate the App:
- Lemon Squeezy — payment processing, subscription billing, license key issuance (acts as merchant of record and independent data controller for payment data);
- Vercel — application hosting and content delivery;
- Email delivery provider — transactional emails (license keys, reminders), if you opt into email reminders.
Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and applicable data processing terms. We select providers that maintain industry-standard security practices.
6. Data Retention
Locally stored data persists on your device until you delete it, clear browser storage, or uninstall the App. Backup/export files (JSON, CSV) you create are stored wherever you choose to save them. License and billing records are retained by Lemon Squeezy and referenced by us for the duration of your subscription plus any period required for tax, accounting, or legal compliance.
7. Your Rights & Choices
- Access & export — use the in-app Backup/Export tools to download your data at any time (JSON, CSV, or PDF reports);
- Deletion— clear the App's data via your browser settings, or use the in-app "Clear All Data" option in Settings, to remove locally stored entries;
- License/billing data — contact apexhit01@gmail.com or Lemon Squeezy support to request access to or deletion of your billing records, subject to legal retention requirements;
- Opt out of reminders — disable payment reminder notifications in Settings at any time.
If you are located in the EEA, UK, California, or another jurisdiction with statutory privacy rights (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. Contact us at apexhit01@gmail.com to exercise these rights; we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information transmitted to or processed by our infrastructure (e.g., HTTPS/TLS in transit, restricted access to webhook secrets and API keys). However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and because most of Your Data resides in your own browser storage, you are responsible for the physical and digital security of your own device.
10. International Data Transfers
Our hosting and payment infrastructure may process data in the United States and other countries. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your own jurisdiction.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
